Donation of Used Items to the Santa Clara Library

The Santa Clara Library would like to keep its collection as current as possible. Therefore, we do not accept textbooks (including medical and law books), old travel guides, almanacs, encyclopedias and Readers Digest Condensed Books, etc. We like:

  • Items in very good condition (no older than 5 years)
  • Recent best sellers
  • Copies of classic titles
  • Materials about Santa Clara, Ivins, Gunlock & Kayenta
  • Materials about Utah’s National Parks

Books donated to the library are checked for possible use in the library collection. Items we cannot use are given to the Friends of the Library for the Friends Book Sale.

If you would like a receipt, count the number of books being donated and a signed and dated receipt will be written, The Library cannot assess value of items donated.

What if I lost or damaged an item?
