Young Adult Summer Reading Program

Teens are invited to “Express Yourself @ Your Library” this summer by participating in the Santa Clara Library Young Adult summer reading program from June 8th to July 17th.

Middle school and high school aged youth are encouraged to sign up to read 8 books in 6 weeks. Those who succeed will receive a reading award and their name will be entered into a drawing for a grand prize.

Special events are also planned for the summer. Come in and get registered at the Santa Clara Library circulation desk and have a great summer of reading.

Young Adult Summer Reading Altered Book Activity.
This activity is for ages 12-18.
Tuesday June 30th, 2-4 pm at the
Santa Clara Library Community Room.

What is an altered book?
It is any book that has been recycled
by creative means into a work of art.

Come and express yourself at this fun and
creative activity. There is no charge for this
project. Books and art supplies will be provided
but you can bring photographs, paper, and
embellishments that you wish to customize
your own book.
