That\u2019s right \u2013 the branches of the Library System have invested in this cutting edge technology, as well as Augmented Reality tech that will bring new dimensions to your library experience.<\/p>\n
One of the best places to learn about virtual reality, augmented reality, and everything in between is the library. The library wants to offer patrons the chance to experience and learn in new and exciting ways. So whether you\u2019re a novice trying to wrap your head around the latest technology or an experienced hand looking for a community to develop and hone your VR skills \u2014 the library is a wonderful starting point in your quest for more knowledge.<\/p>\n
If you haven\u2019t yet taken the virtual plunge but would like to do so, head to the library and grab a headset! The Hurricane branch will be hosting a Virtual Reality Experience Kick-off on Monday, October 21st<\/sup> \u00a0from 3:00 \u2013 5:00 pm. Patrons 13 years and older can experience the Oculus Rift or Oculus Quest. Patrons 10 and older can try out the Merge 360. Children under 10 can use the Merge with an accompanying adult. \u00a0With over 150 educational apps, there will be a lot of options!
