A “call for help” request to all Washington County community members has been sent by Intermountain Healthcare, the University of Utah and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They have partnered to help 5 million medical grade masks be created for use by front line healthcare workers. This effort is called ProjectProtect. IHC Dixie Regional Medical Center has been working to have kits made available locally and received approval on Thursday for 1,000 kits to arrive in St. George that need to be picked up this Tuesday for completion this week. If you are willing to help sew these masks, please go to http://www.justserve.org/projectprotect. To register to receive a mask kit, scroll to the bottom of the page where St. George appears at the end of “Week 4” options. Your efforts in support of ProjectProtect will help protect front line medical workers. Thank you!
